Did you know the Queensland Government uses the Industry Capability Network (ICN) to list details of major project opportunities that your business could tender for?

ICN Queensland helps bring suppliers and project owners together through an online database, the ICN Gateway, which has over 80,000 businesses listed nationally and operates as a business networking database with search capabilities and major project listings.

Registering on the ICN Gateway is free and requests for capability to supply are regularly uploaded which will allow companies such as yours to respond. If you register for notifications, where there is a match between ability to supply and customer demand the system can notify you of the opportunity. ICN can also help your business to streamline a procurement process.

The Queensland Government also utilises the ICN Gateway to build connections for businesses with local suppliers to minimise supply chain disruption and to support the development and growth of local businesses. For example the Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning is undertaking a review of businesses that are listed on the ICN Gateway to provide a greater understanding of industry supply chain needs and to support the growth of businesses in Queensland.

If you have not already done so, I would encourage you to register or update your supply capabilities on the ICN Gateway:  https://gateway.icn.org.au/

For your convenience, please download the ICN Gateway’s User Guide to Creating a Company Profile which contains a checklist along with Frequently Asked Questions but if you still have a query please do not hesitate to contact Ann.Taig@dsdilgp.qld.gov.au.
