A special message from the Minister for Employment and Small Business.

Download the fact sheet.

I know that small businesses across the state are hurting right now.

I want you to know that as Queensland’s Small Business Minister I am here to help in whatever way I can.

I have been speaking with businesses across the state as they grapple with this unprecedented crisis. I know that all of you will also be inundated with calls from small business owners who are searching for support and answers.

Today, the Palaszczuk Government has announced a $4 billion economic relief package. It includes cash refunds to businesses, tax holidays, rent relief and assistance for workers who have been displaced by this crisis.

This latest announcement builds our initial industry support package and our $500 million loan fund which has already received 8,000 expressions of interest.

We have also established our small business support hotline: 1300 654 687 which provides one on one case management for businesses. I encourage you to refer any local businesses to our call centre.

Further information about all the support that is available can be found on our website www.business.qld.gov.au and on the factsheet attached.

If there is any other assistance that we can provide, please don’t hesitate to contact my office.

We will do everything we can to support Queenslanders during this crisis.

Kind Regards
Shannon Fentiman
