Energy Efficient Communities Program: Food and Beverage Manufacturing Business Grant

Tim Wilson, Assistant Minister to the Minister for Industry, Energy and Emission Reduction recently announced the release of program guidelines for the $19.9 million Energy Efficient Communities Food and Beverage Manufacturing Business Grant program.

The program will provide grants to support small and medium sized food and beverage manufacturing businesses to improve energy efficiency practices and technologies to manage energy consumption to reduce their power bills. Successful businesses will save energy by replacing existing equipment with more energy efficient equipment, installing or replacing components to help existing systems run more efficiently, carrying out energy audits and monitoring and optimising energy use and emissions.

Applications will be open from 9.00am AEDT pm 12 January 2022 and applications will close at 5.00pm AEDT on 18 February 2022 or earlier if funding is exhausted.

The minimum grant amount is $10,000 and the maximum grant is $25,000.
