Back to Work Regional Employment Package
Tuesday, 06 June 2017 15:18

State Development are now approaching the first anniversary of the Queensland Government’s Back to Work regional employment package.

The package has been highly successful in providing employment opportunities for over 4000 new employees across the state. In the Wide Bay Burnett this number is in excess of 800 jobs, with some 500 employers across the region receiving financial support.

While many of your members have taken advantage of the package I feel it is appropriate to re-visit the package and encourage your members to assess if the package is something to aid their business by getting an extra pair of hands to help grow of the business. Skills packages are available to fine tune the new employee to suit the enterprise needs.

The Back to Work regional employment package provides up to $20,000 to an employer who takes on a new employee who has been unemployed.

The link to all the detailed information is https://backtowork.initiatives.qld.gov.au/ and/or I would be happy to discuss specific questions with your members on 07 4122 0401.

Members may also access information on the Youth Boost component of Back to Work on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1prc0vBF6Y
