Lutheran Services COVID requirements

By November 30, 2021No Comments2 min read

This letter is to advise you of the latest Queensland Government Direction regarding visitors to aged care services.

The Premier announced last week that with state borders re-opening by 17th December 2021, unvaccinated people will be unable to visit hospitals, residential aged care, disability care accommodation and prisons.

What this means for you

From 17th December, any contractor or supplier attending one of our aged care or retirement village services will need to show proof of being fully vaccinated in the form of your COVID-19 digital certificate. This will be checked at reception as part of the entry process.

We are writing to you now to ensure that, if you have not yet been vaccinated, you have enough time to meet the requirement by 17th December.

As per the current visitation procedure, all contractors, staff and visitors will continue to be health screened and required to sign a health declaration. Social distancing, hand hygiene and infection control practices when you are on site are very important, especially in light of the re-opened borders.

Updates

Ensuring business continuity is a critical element of our planning and we will continue to keep you up to date.
