By June 23, 2020No Comments1 min read

Regional Queensland agricultural businesses have the opportunity to share in $10m worth of grants to help fund job-creating projects across the state.

Expressions of interest are open for round three of the Queensland Government Rural Economic Development (RED) Grants, which QRIDA administer on behalf of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries.

Co-contribution grants of up to $250,000 are available for food and agricultural businesses to support ‘shovel-ready’ projects that create jobs for value added primary production and provide significant economic benefits to rural and regional communities.

Across round one and two, a total of 28 businesses have received $6.32 million under the RED Grants program over the past two years. Overall these 28 projects are expected to create 1,200 jobs across the agricultural sector in regional Queensland.

Expressions of Interest applications close 10 July 2020. To read the guidelines and for more information click on ‘learn more’ below.
