SUMMARY:Queensland Heritage Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club Inc would like to advise you all that we will be hosting the Queensland Heritage Rally in September 2022\, commencing on the 15th (set up day) through to the 18th. \nThe Queensland Heritage Rally is hosted by a nominated club in Queensland every two years & we have the honour of hosting the event next year\, 2022. This will be a great boost to Kingaroy & District as there will be exhibitors & spectators from all over Australia & New Zealand. We have been told to expect 6-10\,000 people to come to our town for this Rally. \n  \nWe invite you all to add these dates to your diary for 2022 so you can organize your life to be able to attend. \nWe will be sending out information in the near future regarding registration\, events\, meals available\, etc & accommodation (available in & around the surrounding areas close to Kingaroy for non- exhibitors).  We will have camp sites for exhibitors at our club grounds. \nWe do have a shut down for Tarong Power Station during the month of September 2022 who will have their workers being accommodated in some of the motels in the area\, so it maybe in your interest if you need this type of accommodation to make enquiries early. \nDon’t forget we are also holding our yearly Club Rally on the 17th (Setup Day)\, 18th & 19th September 2021. We hope to see some of you attending this rally too.

SUMMARY:QCWA Centenary Gala Dinner Dance
DESCRIPTION:The Kingaroy Branch of QCWA is itself celebrating its Centenary in August\, 2022.  \nIt was one of the first branches formed in Queensland\, and can be proud of its community service by a continuous membership for 100 years. This incredible milestone will be celebrated on Saturday\, August 27 with a Gala Dinner Dance at the Kingaroy Town Hall\, 6pm for 7pm start. \nWe are extending an invitation to you\, your family and friends and your staff or members\, to support us by joining your local QCWA members in recognising the foresight of the women of Kingaroy and celebrating the longevity of this worthy community organisation. Your support of this function will ensure that the ongoing work of the QCWA locally\, will continue into the future.  \nThere will be grazing platters on arrival followed by a two course meal. Guests can then dance the night away to  the popular Kingaroy band\, RYZA.  Rotary will operate a full bar. \n  \nPurchase tickets\nTickets are available now at Kingaroy Office Central at $80 per guest. Everyone is welcome. Should you wish to form a table\, these will seat eight guests. Any enquiries can be directed to Marilyn at the email address below. The Dinner Dance is a ticketed event and RSVP should be before 10 August\, 2022. \nThe last few years of  COVID isolation curtailed our usual fund raising events and more recently the “Hostel\,” which is owned by Kingaroy QCWA\, was destroyed by fire.   This facility was leased by CTC to safely house young people at risk in this community. So\, we look forward to this event being a positive function in our calendar.

DESCRIPTION:DIVA AND FRIENDS WILL MILK IT\nXmas in July at the Dairy – Variety Concert \nDIVA\, Musical Director and Producer\, Louise Winton\, is once again\, bringing a jam-packed live music event to Adavale Farm\, in the South Burnett. \nXmas in July – with The DIVA and other artists\nSaturday 16th of July\, 2-7pm\nAdavale Farm\, 2172 Burnett Hwy\, Sandy Ridges\, near Nanango \nWe will be showcasing up to 10 emerging and existing performing artists at this local\, live music event and fundraiser. \nMost musical taste will be covered over the afternoon with a diverse range of genres and performers\, including Pop\, Rock\, Country\, Originals\, Covers\, Classical and Christmas. During their half hour set\, each performer will present at least 2 Christmas songs\, in their chosen style\, and then they will perform their favourite songs for the audience to enjoy. Local performers include\, Amber Goldsmith\, Louise Winton\, Anna Walker\, Paul Ricketts\, Driver McSweeney\, Krystal Wardrop and Tony White. Visiting performers include Norah Malan and Alyssa Maughan. \nGuests\, will be able to choose where they sit to enjoy the music as performances ease through the afternoon and into the evening. As the sun sets\, warm and inviting fire pits will be lit around the arena\, so that our audience can feel snug and warm. There is also the opportunity to set up camp or park your self contained motorhome and enjoy a weekend of farm stay activities\, including petting animals and having a try at milking a cow. There will be delicious food and drinks available for purchase\, the proceeds of which will go towards the SES and to assist with medical bills from one of the farm’s owners. We will also have a selection of fun play attractions set up\, generously supplied by Big Fun Queensland. The sound and Lighting and giant LED screen for the event is being provided by Bobbie Richters from KSR Productions.\nThis Is the second in the series of DIVA produced events. The first\, DIVA at the Dairy\, was held in November last year and very well received by those who attended. “Everyone from the last event\, has already booked their tickets for this one”\, said Musical Director\, Louise Winton. “People have been craving getting back to affordable\, family friendly\, live music events\, both as audience and performers. There just seemed to be too many restrictions and limitations\, for events like this\, so I decided to create my own. My ultimate goal is to be able to pay all artists and industry professionals\, the award rate. We have been underappreciated for too long”. \nIf you would like to help this or future events\, through funding or sponsorship\, please contact Louise Winton\, directly. \nUpdates and information about the concert\, ticketing and camping can all be found on the event’s Facebook page or by phoning Louise on 0427748692
