SUMMARY:Community MS Twilight Walk
DESCRIPTION:This year we are once again going to hold our version of the MS Moonlight Walk as a Community Twilight Walk on Saturday 22nd October 2022. We will meet at 3.30pm at Wooroolin Carpark and commence walking at 4pm. We will walk to Memerambi and return to Wooroolin along our beautiful rail trail. \nThere is no nomination fee but walkers are encouraged to make a donation on the day if they are able (Or online before the day). \nThe full course is approximately 12km but walkers can walk whatever part of the course that they are able. This walk is suitable for all family members and even for families to bring their wheelchair bound family members for a shorter walk or even bring their dog (provided it is sociable and leashed). \nThe walk will end around 6-6.30 pm and walkers are welcome to remain for dinner at the Wooroolin Hotel. \nNumbers are not required for the walk but persons remaining for dinner will need to rsvp for the booking. \nAny further information contact Josie Potter 0407618148 or email gazry1860@gmail.com

We have been told to expect 6-10\,000 people to come to our town for this Rally. \n  \nWe invite you all to add these dates to your diary for 2022 so you can organize your life to be able to attend. \nWe will be sending out information in the near future regarding registration\, events\, meals available\, etc & accommodation (available in & around the surrounding areas close to Kingaroy for non- exhibitors).  We will have camp sites for exhibitors at our club grounds. \nWe do have a shut down for Tarong Power Station during the month of September 2022 who will have their workers being accommodated in some of the motels in the area\, so it maybe in your interest if you need this type of accommodation to make enquiries early. \nDon’t forget we are also holding our yearly Club Rally on the 17th (Setup Day)\, 18th & 19th September 2021. DESCRIPTION:The Kingaroy Branch of QCWA is itself celebrating its Centenary in August\, 2022.  \nIt was one of the first branches formed in Queensland\, and can be proud of its community service by a continuous membership for 100 years. This incredible milestone will be celebrated on Saturday\, August 27 with a Gala Dinner Dance at the Kingaroy Town Hall\, 6pm for 7pm start. \nWe are extending an invitation to you\, your family and friends and your staff or members\, to support us by joining your local QCWA members in recognising the foresight of the women of Kingaroy and celebrating the longevity of this worthy community organisation. Your support of this function will ensure that the ongoing work of the QCWA locally\, will continue into the future.  \nThere will be grazing platters on arrival followed by a two course meal. Guests can then dance the night away to  the popular Kingaroy band\, RYZA.  Rotary will operate a full bar. \n  \nPurchase tickets\nTickets are available now at Kingaroy Office Central at $80 per guest. Everyone is welcome. Should you wish to form a table\, these will seat eight guests. Any enquiries can be directed to Marilyn at the email address below. The Dinner Dance is a ticketed event and RSVP should be before 10 August\, 2022. \nThe last few years of  COVID isolation curtailed our usual fund raising events and more recently the “Hostel\,” which is owned by Kingaroy QCWA\, was destroyed by fire.   This facility was leased by CTC to safely house young people at risk in this community. So\, we look forward to this event being a positive function in our calendar.
