SUMMARY:Mental Health in Tough Seasons: Free Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Business & Rural Solutions have today circulated the attached media release on behalf of Rural Financial Counselling Service Southern Queensland. The communications kit supports the October instalment of our webinar series Get Ahead Of It: Practical Conversations for Primary Producers with the topic being ‘ Mental Health in Tough Seasons’. \nWhen: 19 November 2026\, 12 noon to 1 pm \nRegister HERE \nWhen tough seasons hit\, the pressure doesn’t stop at the farmgate\, or the balance sheet\, and the Rural Financial Counselling Service Southern Queensland (RFCS-SQ) invites primary producers to get ahead of the mental health impacts during their upcoming free webinar. \nThe seasonal outlook\, prolonged dry conditions and the financial pressure and uncertainty this can bring often takes an unspoken toll on rural families. When tough seasons hit\, it is easy to focus entirely on the farm\, stock\, and the bottom line and leave your own mental wellbeing on the back burner. \nHosted by RFCS-SQ Rural Program Manager Kim Corfield\, this month’s episode brings together a panel of experienced wellbeing and mental health professionals including Small Business Financial Counselling Service Southern Queensland (SBFCS-SQ) Wellbeing Program Coordinator and Coach Katherine Watson\, Royal Flying Doctors (RFDS) Clinical Psychologist Dr Tim Driscoll and Clinical Nurse Consultant Kristie Lambert who works within the Queensland Government’s Tackling Regional Adversity through Connected Communities (TRACC) Program. \n
