Former Year 12 student Georgia Kerr with KCCI secretary Paula Greenwood

Former Kingaroy State High School student Georgia Kerr is now the proud owner of a new iPad to help in her tertiary studies, thanks to the Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Georgia, who is studying a Bachelor of Nursing, was awarded the annual $1000 KCCI Bursary at last year’s KSHS awards night.

KCCI secretary Paula Greenwood said the Year 12 recipient was chosen by the school.

They must have demonstrated the qualities of being respectful, courteous and conscientious; have a good attitude and strong work ethic; be motivated, dedicated and reliable, and show a high level of initiative.

Products purchased must be from businesses in the Kingaroy region.

Paula said Georgia had used part of her bursary to buy an iPad for taking notes and planned to use the rest to buy medical equipment such as a stethoscope.
