Requirements for some businesses to use the Check In Qld app have changed

By March 30, 2022No Comments2 min read

The Check In Qld app has been a key line of defence in Queensland, simplifying the check-in process for businesses and supporting the work of contact tracers throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

On 8 February 2022, Queensland Health released an updated Public Health Direction outlining changes for business, activities and undertakings, including COVID-19 vaccination requirements.

To confirm whether these changes impact you, please visit https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/current-status/public-health-directions/public-health-social-measures to view the list of businesses or venues where there is a requirement for patrons to be vaccinated to enter.

If your business requires patrons to be vaccinated:

  • you must continue to collect contact information and verify proof of vaccination status via the Check In Qld app; or:
  • if the app cannot be used, you must continue to collect this information using suitable alternative means.

If your business or location is not listed:

  • you are not to collect contact information via the Check In Qld app or any alternative means; and
  • we request you remove all QR code posters and Check In Qld app collateral that may be displayed in your premises or location.

Thank you for your ongoing support to keep Queenslanders COVID-safe.
