Following the policy’s commencement, the Buy Queensland Implementation team hosted some informative webinars for both suppliers and buyers. These were recorded, and the Supplier webinar will be posted to the Buy Queensland – Information for suppliers webpage when the recordings are finalised along with the transcripts and presentation slides.

This edition provides an update on the Queensland Government Supplier Code of Conduct 2023 (the Code), the Growing Queensland Business Roadshows to be held later in the year, and an update on the impending release of the Queensland Government Arrangements Directory.

Queensland Government Supplier Code of Conduct 2023

Applying from 1 June 2023, the Code sets out the expectations that government has of businesses that want to sell their goods or services to the government, and outlines what constitutes an ethical supplier.

The QPP 2023 states our intent to do business with ethically, environmentally and socially responsible suppliers, as part of applying a responsible public procurement approach. This includes applying requirements regarding the Code.

Suppliers should be on the lookout for updated requirements in invitation and contract documentation related to compliance with the Code. These requirements help to level the playing field for those suppliers that comply with our ethical, social and environmental expectations.
