Sign up now for Queensland’s new one-stop shop for tendering and supply:

The Queensland Government has developed a one-stop shop for Queensland businesses,
simplifying how they interact with government procurement. This initiative, a
first in Australia, will streamline the tendering experience for suppliers
while opening up many opportunities within Queensland’s public sector.

Through this new procurement platform, we have simplified access to
opportunities across Queensland Government agencies and local councils to one
convenient location. This will enhance the efficiency of tendering while
ensuring you’re in the right place at the right time to explore a wide range of
opportunities.

The platform at the heart of this transformation is VendorPanel, an innovative
solution that provides a single supplier portal designed to simplify the
tendering process, making it more user-friendly for suppliers looking to
discover opportunities. To find out more about how to visit Supply.qld.gov.au.

We are committed to economic inclusivity, and VendorPanel will be an essential
tool for buyers across various sectors, including Queensland Government
agencies such as departments; government owned corporations; and statutory
bodies including universities; as well as local councils and not-for-profits.
By utilising this integrated platform, buyers have a greater ability to seek
out and engage with potential suppliers like you.

Creating your free supplier profile on VendorPanel will make your business
visible to Queensland Government and local council buyers but will also ensure
you receive real-time notifications about upcoming opportunities that suit your
business capabilities and services. Once registered, you can explore a wide
range of quote and tender opportunities to facilitate your business growth.
There are no fees to quote, tender or supply.

If your supplier profile already exists in VendorPanel, there’s no need to set up
a new one. This applies especially if you’re registered with other entities or
participate in Local Buy Arrangements to provide services to local governments
and other buying organisations. The Queensland Government’s arrangements will
remain separate from those of Local Buy.

This is more than just a procurement change—it’s a commitment to fostering a
business-friendly environment where accessibility, transparency, and opportunity
are top of mind. Join us on VendorPanel and be part of an evolving marketplace
where your business can thrive through the power of collaboration.

Making responsible public procurement choices:

Public procurement in Queensland is a powerful tool, shaping the communities we live
in. Responsible public procurement is a way of acquiring goods and services
that goes beyond just price and redefines what is means to deliver value for
money. It is about creating additional value for Queensland by considering
economic, ethical, social and environmental factors in our procurement
decision-making.

Supporting Queensland social enterprises

Substation33 is an example of Queensland-based social enterprise engaging with Queensland Government agencies, making responsible public procurement choices including supporting circular economy and redefining value for money.

Established in 2012, Substation33 operates under the umbrella of YFS Ltd, with a mission to empower vulnerable individuals and promote environmental sustainability through the collection, processing, reuse, and recycling of electronic waste. This focus on both social impact and environmental responsibility aligns perfectly with Queensland’s procurement framework, which emphasises achieving best value for money across the entire lifecycle of a procurement project.

Substation33 provides employment pathways and skill development opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds and abilities. It offers an inclusive and supportive environment where students and volunteers can gain practical experience, develop technical skills, and build professional competencies. Substation33 encourages participation from students with disability and provides extracurricular activities for students with disability to get involved.

Substation33 embraces the principles of a circular economy by extending the life cycle of electronic devices. Their focus on refurbishment and reuse of e-waste keeps valuable materials out of landfills and reduces reliance on virgin resources, contributing to a more sustainable future for Queenslanders.
