Major Projects Forum in Kingaroy

On Wednesday 23 July, the Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning (with support from the South Burnett Regional Council and Regional Development Australia Wide Bay Burnett ) will be hosting a Major Projects Forum in Kingaroy.
The program will be based around innovation and diversity, transforming the Burnett region with the themes of innovation, diversity and value adding.
Purpose: To showcase inspiring innovation and industry-led diversity through a focus on local and regional examples across the Bundaberg Burnett region.
The event will be held in the Kingaroy Town Hall from 10 am to 2 pm. We expect a strong attendance from across the Wide Bay Burnett.
In particular, presentations on a number of major projects currently underway in the Burnett will be of significant interest.
This will be an informative event and we are excited to bring it to Kingaroy and the wider Burnett community.

- Plenty Foods – High-tech conversion of nut waste to produce enhanced protein & high palmitoleic oil
- Yurika – high speed connectivity for the Burnett
- South Burnett Regional Council – Water for growth project
- Swickers – Utilising biocatalyst technology to produce liquid keratin from waste pig hair
- Mt Rawdon Pumped Hydro project
- Cherbourg Aboriginal Council – Industrial precinct upgrade & future plans
- South Burnett regional Council – Circular Economy Industrial precinct
