TAFE Training Pogram

AFE is excited to share an amazing opportunity for any students interested in health careers!

The Darling Downs Health Healthy Pathways Program is a pilot initiative where TAFE Queensland will deliver the Certificate II in Health Support Services (HLT23221) to eligible Year 10, 11, and 12 students in a real-world clinical environment. 

With onsite training in select regional areas, with specific locations to be announced in the coming weeks, this program is designed to equip regional and rural students with hands-on skills for work in hospitals, aged care, and community health settings, while also introducing them to career pathways in administration, logistics, allied health, and patient support.

Industry-embedded Training

  • No prior experience required – perfect for students exploring health pathways.
  • Funded through VETiS by the Queensland Government.
  • Delivered via TAFE at School in 2026.
  • Starting in February 2026, aligning with Queensland school terms.
