19 December 2025

The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 KCCI Bursary, an initiative created to empower and uplift Year 12 students who demonstrate exceptional character, potential and community-minded values.

Each year, the bursary is awarded to three students – one from Kingaroy State High School, St Mary’s Catholic College and St John’s Lutheran School. The bursary aims to support students who have the drive and capability to pursue their goals but may face financial limitations that make reaching those goals more challenging.

What We Look For

Nominees are recognised for qualities that reflect the heart of our region, including:

  • Respect, courtesy and conscientiousness
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Motivation, dedication, reliability and initiative

These traits shape future leaders and contribute to a strong and thriving community.

Kingaroy State High School Recipient: Indianna Scott

KCCI Bursary Recipients

We are delighted to recognise Indianna as the 2025 bursary recipient for Kingaroy State High School. Indi has already achieved an early offer into the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) program at the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ). Her curiosity, passion for understanding others and determined effort both inside and outside the classroom exemplify what this bursary stands for.

Indi’s commitment to her future and her proactive approach to her studies make her a deserving recipient. We are proud to support her next step and look forward to seeing her impact in the field of Psychology.

St John’s Lutheran School Recipient: Alysha Zalavari

Our 2025 recipient from St John’s Lutheran School is Alysha Zalavari. Alysha’s strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and commitment make her a deserving bursary recipient. She is pursuing a trade qualification in Automotive Trade, with a goal of building a career in a field she is passionate about.

With the support of KCCI, Alysha is well-positioned to gain practical experience, develop her skills, and make a meaningful contribution to both the community and the local automotive industry.

St Mary’s Catholic College Recipient: Shaleace Saranov Janssen

Representing St Mary’s Catholic College, Shaleace Saranov Janssen has been selected for her resilience, motivation and strong initiative. Shaleace consistently demonstrates reliability and a willingness to step up, even when challenges arise. She will be pursuing a Certificate III in School-Based Education Support, reflecting her dedication to helping others and contributing to her community.

Her determination and leadership align closely with the purpose of the KCCI Bursary. We are proud to encourage her as she pursues her goals.

Strengthening the Future of Kingaroy
