Regional Drought Resilience Planning Workshops
Following a rigorous consultation period and through partnerships with the Rural Economies Centre of Excellence, the Burnett and Mary Regional Drought Resilience Plans were developed, ensuring strategies reflect the unique conditions, priorities and lived experiences of people across our communities. Building on the Regional Drought Resilience Plans, this next phase focuses on understanding where we can help and what we can do, turning the plans ideas into action through collaboration, innovation, and investment.
Designed to strengthen our region’s preparedness for future dry times, the next step is to invite you, valued stakeholders and local community input to help co-design practical projects that bring the Burnett and Mary Regional Drought Resilience Plans to life, and to develop these plans further. Your ideas and local knowledge will help shape initiatives that strengthen our people, business, industries, and communities.
