Payday Super comes into effect on 1 July
A recent national survey found 58% of Australian businesses were unaware of Payday Super reforms.
From 1 July 2026, businesses will be legally required to pay employees’ superannuation at the same time as wages or salaries, or within seven calendar days of payday. You can learn more about the changes in this article.
To ensure Queensland businesses are prepared, we’d like to understand if you are aware of the changes and what support would help you best navigate them.

Are you currently exporting or intend to export goods to the US?
Given recent announcements around additional tariffs on goods entering the US, it’s important for you to keep up to date.
Together with the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Austrade and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), we’re working to ensure the latest information is communicated to businesses.
We recommend regularly checking Austrade’s Go Global Toolkit which includes support for Australian businesses navigating US tariff changes.

Building inclusive workplaces in Gladstone
Last week, our Workforce Evolve team visited Gladstone businesses participating in the Accessibility and Inclusion Pilot to support them in embedding inclusive practices in practical and commercially meaningful ways.
Led by Business Chamber Queensland in partnership with Queenslanders with Disability Network, the pilot supports businesses through one-on-one engagement with inclusion consultants with lived experience, structured learning modules, and coaching.
During the visit, the team connected with organisations including Gladstone Airport Corporation and Mabel and Mack’s to gain insight into how inclusion is being integrated into everyday operations.
Mark Cachia, CEO of Gladstone Airport Corporation, shared:
“It’s great having someone with firsthand experience of the barriers that we can easily fix or find solutions for.”
Workforce Evolve is proudly funded by the Queensland Government.
