The TradieStart Apprentice Incentive helps eligible Queensland employers take on apprentices and trainees in construction trade occupations.
The program is designed to encourage more apprenticeships and traineeships in areas of need and to strengthen Queensland’s future workforce. Employers can use the funding to offset expenses associated with recruitment, onboarding and early training.
Queensland construction businesses can register for this incentive to help with the cost of hiring and supporting an apprentice employed from 1 August 2026. Registrations are open for the first 2,500 eligible apprentices.
